MASS

Officium: Today across the earth hath dawned the festive day of All the Saints. O come ye all, O come and sing:
Let us all be joyful in the Lord, celebrating a feast day to the honor of All Saints.
Today the multitude of martyrs greatly rejoiceth in heaven, and as for us on earth, O come ye all, O come and sing:
For their solemnity the angels are joyful.
For on this day we send up glory with praises very fitting, of All the Saints.
And together they praise the Son of God.

V. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous : praise is meet for the upright.

Like what a glorious star do the Saints radiantly shed luster! For having spilled their blood, they are found worthy of requital in Thy kingdom.
Let us all be joyful in the Lord, celebrating a feast day to the honor of All Saints.
Heavenly joys acclaim with high praise all of them together on this day.
For their solemnity the angels are joyful.
Singing their canticles to Christ with voices sweetly echoing,
And together they praise the Son of God.

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit : as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, unto the ages of ages, amen.

Come ye, forthwith sing sweet words with the melody of music:
Let us all be joyful in the Lord, celebrating a feast day to the honor of All Saints.
Let the flowering of our virtue be in harmony, corresponding to our lips.
For their solemnity the angels are joyful.
For they are eternal companions of the brilliance of all who flourish in the heavens.
And together they praise the Son of God.

V. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised : in the city of our God, in His holy mountain, in the well-rooted joy of all the earth.

The bosom of our mother, that is the Church, hath fed us with gracious sweetness, so let us come and let us sing:
Let us all be joyful in the Lord, celebrating a feast day to the honor of All Saints.
For theirs is the highest honor, and the godly vision of the Most High King.
For their solemnity the angels are joyful,
For they see the number of those on high completed, as is just,
And together they praise the Son of God.

Kyrie-Litany. Gloria.

V. The Lord be with you. R. And with thy spirit. Let us pray.

Sequence: Let our illustrious hosts, in robes of white,
Sing a melody unto Christ.
Giving praise to all His saints,
Through these most holy festivities.

First let our voice ring out for Mary,
Through whom the fruit of life is granted unto us.
Thou who art queen and mother, and art pure,
Absolve our sinful ways by thy prayers unto thy Son.

May the sacred gathering of the angels,
And the glorious regiment of the archangels
Now wash away our sinful deeds,
And request for us the exalted joy of heaven.

O prophet, herald, shining beacon, [John],
Thou that art more than a prophet,
Making our bodies become pure,
Place us on the path that is ablaze with light.

O chief of all the apostles,
And all you multitude of apostles,
Strengthen now the people's hearts,
By your true teachings, we pray you.

O Stephen, shining gloriously with thy crown,
And ye the shining army of the holy martyrs,
Give us healthy hearts and bodies, make strong your holy spears,
That they may get clear victory o'er the foe.

O Martin, thou illustrious one,
And every battle-rank of bishops,
Mercifully receive, at this hour,
The prayers which we are offering.

Queen of virgins, exalted so highly,
Thou art both spotless mother and a virgin bearing a child,
O thou purity consecrated unto the Lord,
Keep thou our souls and bodies pure.

May the venerable prayers of the monastics,
And all the mansions of saints,
By their prayers, so fervently poured out,
Guide aright our times and moments.

And may they bring us to true joys,
The supernal joys in the heavens,
May they unite the hosts of the redeemed
With Him Who hath great mercy. Amen.
