One thing about the Sarum use of the Roman rite is the beauty and earthy popular piety of the Holy Week services and those for the morning of Pascha, that is, Easter Day. In the end of Holy Week, Vespers and Mass combine in the morning in a special way. In the evening, Tenebrae Matins services are held, with the gradual extinguishing of the lights on the great candle-hearse. These Tenebrae services were the favorite service for the people to attend, probably not only because of their profundity but also because earlier in the day many had to be working in the fields. Texts and rubrics are in preparation for all these services, and if an elegant final is not ready, I'll simply upload .pdfs of the approved texts, as used in past years.
